Overview
Gokyo Valley Trek is a trekking adventure taking you to the lap of the Everest region, which is the home of the highest mountain in the world. Gokyo Ri and several Himalayan glacier lakes are collectively known as Gokyo Lakes. This place in everest region is a Sherpa village that lies beside the largest Gokyo Lakes. From Gokyo valley, we can climb to Gokyo Ri (5360m) for a heart-stopping view over Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu and Makalu, Cholatse and Taboche.
As the Everest Base Camp Trek has Kala Patthar at an elevation of 5545m, the Gokyo Valley Trek has Gokyo Ri at an elevation of 5360m, which is on the north side of Dudh Pokhari, which is an epic vantage point, offering the kind of view over Everest that is normally reserved for balloonists or mountaineers.
You can take an air flight from Lukla airport, followed by trekking to Namche Bazar, to Phakding. The main highlighted feature of the Gokyo Valley is its location, which is a magical place that is situated in the foothills of the Himalayas and is full of blue glacier lakes dominated by the Himalayas of Mount Makalu, Mount Lhotse, Mount Cho-Oyu and Mount Everest in a single line. The Gokyo Valley and Gokyo Lakes are a holy region for both Hindus and Buddhists. Because of this, it is a place for pilgrimage as well.
If you are looking to combine your Gokyo Lake in your Everest Base Camp trek, then we have a handcrafted trip for Everest base camp trek via Gokyo Lake.
