It has been the hub for trekking for decades and why would it not be? This trek offers you a front seat view of the majestic Annapurna ranges. You will come across local communities and fall in love with the culture of this region.

Another reason for its popularity is because it can be completed within a short span of time and is not as difficult as some of the treks in Nepal. But, don’t worry it has everything and more than a trek should have.

You will walk through varying landscapes and your journey will culminate when you reach the Annapurna Base Camp. Along your way, you will encounter spectacular sceneries and biodiversity.

Make sure you visit this region during the spring or autumn. You will find the trail decorated with rhododendrons.

This route will give you a proper trekking experience. You will start your journey at the lowlands and will reach an altitude of 4310 meters.

Max. Altitude: 1,300m/4,264ft

Our staff will pick you up at the airport and we will head to the hotel. You can do some last minute preparation and purchases for the trek.

Distance: 205 Km

Max. Altitude: 872m/2,700ft

On the second day, we will head to Pokhara early in the morning. It is a 6-7 hours drive and we will be taking a bus or a smaller private vehicle. We will spend our second night in Pokhara. You can visit the vibrant part of Pokhara known as Lakeside.

Also, if you want to fly to Kathmandu, you can take 25-minute flight.

Distance: 53 Km (Pokhara-Nayapul: 46 Km)

Max. Altitude: 1,480m/4,855ft

We will start our journey early in the morning as we head to Nayapul on a bus. We now start our journey on foot. From Nayapul, we head to Birethanti and trek along Modi Khola(river). You will see many tea houses and shops in Birethanti. We then hike to Hile located at an altitude of 1495 m. We will then head to Tikhedhunga where we will rest for the night.

If you choose to drive from Nayapul, it is a two-hour drive. Otherwise, you will have to walk 5-6 hours.

Distance: 12 km

Max. Altitude: 2750m/9000ft

Next morning, we will ascend to Magar village called Ulleri(2070m). We will come across rhododendron forests. We then head to Ghorepani via Nangethanti.

Ghorepani is located at an altitude of 2750 meters and you will get an unimpeded view of Annapurna, Nilgiri, and other mountains. This place also has decent teahouses and several souvenir shops. 5-6 is the walking hours.

Distance: 8 Km

Max. Altitude: Poon Hill (3,210m/10,529ft), Tadapani (2,700m/8,860ft)

On the fifth day, we will start our trek early in the morning to catch the sunrise from Poon Hill. It takes about 45 minutes to one hour to Poon Hill from Ghorepani.

Poon Hill is famous for its sunrise and view from this place is second to none. The first rays of sun that hit the mountain ranges will stay in your memory for a long period of time. You will get to see famous mountain peaks like Annapurna, Nilgiri, and Dhaulagiri

After spending your morning in Poon Hill, we will head back down to Ghorepani for lunch. We will then head to Tadapani through a forest trail. We stay in Tadapani for the night.

Distance: 7.6 Km

Max. Altitude: Chhomrong 2,170m/7,120ft

On the 6th day, we trek down through forests laden with rhododendron forests. The trail will then lead to terraced fields. We will then head up from these terraced fields, pass through a spectacular waterfall and take a suspension bridge.

After walking for about 5-6 hours, we will then reach Chhomrong located at an elevation of 2210 meters. We will spend the night here in a tea house.

Distance: 8.6 Km

Max. Altitude: Dovan 2,630m/8,530ft

The trail will take us downward to Chhomrong Khola and after a steep climb, we will reach Khudighar. We will then climb stone steps and cross yet another suspension bridge and get to Sinuwa Danda. We will then take the forest trail and reach Dovan. Along our way, we'll see waterfalls and forests filled with rhododendrons and bamboo. We will stay at teahouses of Dovan after walking about 5-6 hours.

Distance: 8/9 Km

Max. Altitude: Annapurna Base Camp 4,130m/13,545ft

The eighth day of the trek is going to an interesting one. We will be heading towards the Annapurna Base Camp. We will start our trek early in the morning. The trail will take us first to Hinku cave and after that, we will head to Deurali where we can enjoy the view of Mount Fishtail ridge.

The trail will now open up to a leveled path and will take us to Annapurna Sanctuary. It will not take much time to reach Machhapuchhre Base Camp from here. From here, enjoy the view of several mountains such as Fishtail, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Himchuli, and many others.

From Machhapuchhre Base Camp, we will start a slow ascent towards the Annapurna Base Camp. After crossing a gorge, we will finally reach Annapurna Base Camp. There you are, right in the lap of the 8th highest mountain in the world. Enjoy the view from an altitude of 4,130 meters. We will spend our night here.

Distance: 9.8 Km

Max. Altitude: Bamboo 2,310m/8,563ft

We take the downhill trail to Bamboo. The trail now starts getting easier as we lose altitude. We will be accompanied by the view of the Annapurna mountain ranges and reach Bamboo. This will take 4-5 hours of walking. You will be welcomed by its extraordinary landscapes. Overnight in Bamboo.

Distance: 6.3 Km

Max. Altitude: Chhomrong 2,140m/7,120ft

Our trail further takes a descent from bamboo and we reach Sinuwa. We then head back to Chhomrong Khola and finally reach Chhomrong. We rest for a while in Chhomrong and continue our journey to Jhinu(1780m).

Jhinu has the famous hot springs where you can enjoy these natural springs which will help you heal your tired body.

Distance: 6.8 Km

Max. Altitude: Ghandruk 1,940m/6,365ft

This is an easy and short day trekking. From Chhomrong, the trails descend through various forests of Gurjung Khola and Kimche. Then, we reach Ghandruk about noon.

Ghandruk is an ethnic village full of unique lifestyle and culture. The mountain views are clear and beautiful too. You can even visit the Annapurna Conservation office, museum, and explore more. You will enjoy a lot here!

Distance: 18.8 Km(Ghandruk to Nayapul)

Max. Altitude: Pokhara 910m/2,986ft

After having our lunch, we’ll trek to Syauli Bazar and then head down to Birethanti. We then walk for about an hour more and reach Nayapul. Finally, the trek comes to an end. We then take a bus to Pokhara.

After breakfast, we head back to Kathmandu. It will take about 6-7 hours to reach Kathmandu.

Also, you have the option to take a flight from Pokhara.
